Dr. Leo Archer
Dr. Leo Archer grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in a household with cats, dogs, hamsters, and rats. From a young age they have taken every opportunity to work with animals, including at a wildlife hospital where they interacted with species from opossums to raptors and at a dairy barn where they bottle-fed baby goats. In vet school, Dr. Archer took a small animal focus while taking opportunities to expand their knowledge to exotic species as well.
After graduating from vet school at UC Davis, Dr. Archer and their wife moved to Washington with their senior Chihuahua named Ellie and leopard gecko named Percy. The newest additions to the Archer household are two rats named Bean and Soup. Dr. Archer’s hobbies include art, gardening, baking, and rock climbing.
While rats have a special place in Dr. Archer’s heart, they love to treat all kinds of companion animals. They are dedicated to making the vet clinic a less scary place for all animals. Dr. Archer is especially passionate about educating clients so that they can make the best decisions for their beloved pets.
