Dr. Jennifer Anderson was born and raised in Southern California. While attending college at Humboldt State University in Northern California, Dr. Anderson developed a love of the Pacific Northwest and vowed to come back one day. After working at a local zoo during her undergraduate time, she decided to pursue her goals in veterinary medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Ca. While in vet school, Dr. Anderson was able to work with a variety of animals at various zoos and exotic animal practices.

After graduation, Dr. Anderson did an internship at a specialty hospital in San Jose and worked in emergency medicine before moving back to southern California to work with exotic pets as well as our wonderful dogs and cats in Thousand Oaks, Ca. The call of the PNW continued, and she finally made the decision to move north and joined Spanaway Veterinary Clinic in July 2020.

Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her dog, Picasso, going on walk/hikes and watching wildlife. She also enjoys playing games, working on puzzles, and watching movies on her days off. Dr. Anderson is excited to provide care for our exotic pets and other furry friends. She has experience in rabbit dental procedures and is excited to be able to offer those services soon. Her interest include preventative medicine, surgery, and exotic animal care.
